This example is not exactly a poem, but it is at least a story. The content of the animation reflects the same vibe my poem for my video has, but the actual words are very different. This is a good example of taking a complex idea and using an animated metaphor to portray that idea.
Your animations don't have to perfectly reflect what the poem is saying. You just have to be able to provide some sort of visual to the viewer to get their brain churning. This is essentially a story about COVID, but the imagery is a growing plant and drifting leaf. The simplistic imagery of a plant can mean so many things, and this is something my poem uses throughout the whole video. I could use this idea of a drifting leaf in the "dreaming of the life cycles" section of my poem, which I've been struggling with finding an idea for for a while now.
