This animated poem uses typography sparingly, but key words are highlighted when necessary to drive home the point. This is useful to my own video because even though I'm required to utilize type in an interesting way, I also have pretty detailed illustrations in my piece. During the sections where my illustrations become the most complicated and take over the focus, I will use this technique. Only really important key words ("pretty" in the case of this poem) are needed. I could bring those words in in the background as if they're part of the sky. That way, it won't look out of place. I could also integrate the words into the illustrations (on heads of flowers or something) like they do in the above video with the word "pretty" appearing in thought bubbles or in the liquid in the bowl.
